Dean - Instagram; From now on, let's live in the real world!

I know tomorrow is coming
But I can’t let go of my phone
Sleep just isn’t coming to me, yeah
So I’m on Instagram, Instagram again
So many hotshots here
Some are on vacation
I didn’t press like
Cuz it feels like I’m the only one like this
Inside Instagram, Instagram

DEAN - Instagram

I wish I could list my feelings over this song and video but I don't have enough words. Dean, thank you for showing us this vulnerable side of yours, I think everybody can relate to this song on some level.

To be honest, I'm shook at the end when see Dean laugh like a freak. I'm probably wrong about this, but I feel like the video was related to the song in the sense that he was showing all this clips and things that looked awesome, and then it comes a distortion, like maybe a distortion of the reality we're seeing and living, or how like something that can look cool doesn't mean it's all that there is to it. Maybe I'm trying to internalise this and it doesn't really makes sense hehehehe.

Sometimes I can't imagine how artist/celebs/famous personalities must feel not having any content to put or update on their social media account like it's their responsibility to do so. It must feel so weird and emptying telling the world almost everything about your life. But again, we can't take that out - not in this age. Everything is business, they say. The media would play things around too much to provide themselves good content and I think this makes fans expect excessively. Just imagine having everyone's eyes on you, whatever you do! But if we think about it, non-celebs (ordinary people) have it hard, too. We usually get too pressured from the 'superficial lives' we see from the people we follow/admire thinking that we have in our lives right now cannot be compared with theirs just because it seems more interesting or beautiful.

So I guest the easiest thing to say (and do) when we're feeling lonely and empty living in the social media world is to live in the real world. Nothing is better than the real stuff, anyway!
For Dean, you're awesome and are doing great!!!

2019, You Taught Me Many Things! 💓Thank You💓 This year, 2019, has finally come to an end. This past year has truly been a year of growth and learning for me. I feel it is just like yesterday when I picked up my laptop to type Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 back then in January. As 2019 comes to a close, I took a moment during these past few weeks to reflect on what has just happened and with that always comes a little reflection. Like many people, I have been thinking about all the things I did and learned this year and I am thankful for both, good and bad experiences. As  a type-A, plan-my-life-out, (actually there is almost nothing spontaneous about me and it is always something I have to consciously remind myself to do),  most often I am the person setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I worked hard for the things I love. I still haven't lost my dream of becoming an author or illustrator. I love writing and drawing. I am trying to make and create exciting char...

Feeling grateful and blessed

I got a random question from Instagram: How to become a great person? maybe this is an easy question, but after thinking about it, it turns out to be a bit difficult to answer. After thinking about it for a long time, my answer might be something like this, “I’m working on that myself! There’s no definition of being a great person. Everyone has different morals and povs. What I do is I just be the person I feel like being at this moment and if I make a mistake, then I learn from it and try not to repeat it, and eventually I'll be happy with the person that I was in this life." also, in my opinion, another thing that can be done to become a great person is to always be grateful. Oops, is this too deep? Sejak awal pandemi, sekitar Maret 2020, tuh gue gatau disentil apaan jadi sadar banget that I blessed with all the things I have now. Everything is enough. I won’t ask for more. Mau ngeliat temen-temen udah pada jauh di atas gue pun, gue udah di tahap, “ I’m genuinely happy for ...

UI-CREATES; It creates a long-lasting friendship and memories

Universitas Indonesia Credit Earning Program for Students Excursion to Saung Mang Udjo, Bandung Since being a buddy in early 2018, it has been a very important part of my college life. From that time my calendar each month works around the programs I could participate in, which made the best semester of my life. And this year, it happened again. I got a chance to be the buddy for another short course program. UI-CREATES or Universitas Indonesia Credit Earning Program for Students is a two or three-week short course program hosted by the International Office of Universitas Indonesia. By joining this program, students earn 3 credits (for two-week program) and 6 credits (for three-week program) after the completion.
